Digital Change Management Summit

With lockdown easing, and more and more businesses re-opening, much uncertainty remains around what the ‘new normal’ world will look like – both at work and at home. However, one thing does seem certain: the focus on digital transformation, already begun before the pandemic struck, is only going to accelerate over the coming months and years. Technology is key to addressing many, if not all, of the challenges we face moving forward.

In the short term, many businesses have simply ‘made do’ as they have sought to survive, let alone thrive, during the lockdown. However, whether the plan was based around the Government’s furlough scheme, Microsoft Teams and Zoom (other such business tools are available!), or, most likely, some kind of a hybrid model, making do is not sustainable.

What is required is a careful, planned approach to change management. This will ensure that the best of the pre-, during and post-coronavirus technology infrastructure – both hardware and software - can be harnessed into an optimised, fully digitalised, and sustainable, business solution.

And this approach needs to be developed and implemented with maximum, speed, agility, flexibility and scalability. Even before the pandemic, time to market, and the ability to respond to changing circumstances quickly was critical. How much more so when the company balance sheet has likely taken a significant hit, and the imperative is to open up as soon as possible and as flexibly as possible – both for your employees and your customers?

Managed Services, Cloud and the Channel are key pillars in developing and implementing a successful change management strategy. It’s unlikely you’ll be able to do everything yourself; it’s highly likely that the right expert advice and solutions will speed up your digital transformation process.

And that’s why Angel Business Communications, organsiers of Managed Services Summit and publishers of Digitalisation World is organising a one-day digital event in 2021, focusing on planning for digital transformation, and how managed services providers, cloud providers and the Channel overall can help.

The Sessions

The Digital Change Management Summit is free to attend, with three 2 hour sessions, and guarantees to give you some great educational content around digital transformation. The major focus of the event is on how SMEs in particular, with limited budgets and limited in-house skills, can optimise their IT infrastructure moving forwards.

Session 1 - The 'new normal' - what does this actually mean for your business?

The workplace looks spectacularly different right now. In such uncertain times, how can you ensure that, no matter where, when or how your employees and customers need to interact with your company, you are able to meet, or even exceed, their expectations?

Keynote 1 - Short term muddle versus long-term planning

The ongoing coronavirus pandemic – lockdown, social distancing and the like – has created a ‘new normal’ for the business world. Many companies have maybe muddled through to date, but how do you move forward to create a new hybrid digital business strategy? One that takes the best of the old, along with the best of the new, to create a truly optimised IT environment.

Presented by Laura Koetzle
VP, Group Director Serving Security & Risk Professionals Forrester

Laura leads the research organization that serves Infrastructure & Operations Professionals, Security & Risk Professionals, and Sourcing & Vendor Management Professionals. Her team's research agenda encompasses designing, building, operating, securing, and sourcing the systems, technologies, and processes that firms need to win, serve, and retain customers.

Keynote 2 - Agility, flexibility, scalability and speed are key

Both employees and customers are demanding new, higher levels of agility, flexibility, scalability and speed when it comes to IT. For the workforce, remote access, connectivity, security and collaboration are some of the key requirements. Many of these concerns also apply to the customer, along with the critical issue of trust. How best to meet these needs?

Presented by Presenter name TBC
Fujitsu

At Fujitsu, we play an important role in a transforming Britain. Chances are we’ve met before, but you may not have realised it. We’re behind the technology you use every day, at home, at work, in your leisure time or on the move. As a service provider this means we have the expertise to help you stay in front. You might want to de-risk your existing operations. Launch a new service on a ready-to-run platform. Or co-create something amazing within a global ecosystem of partners. Whatever you need, we can provide a springboard for growth and in turn help your customers thrive.

Keynote 3 - The wins of the hybrid workplace

Many organisations are discovering that, as with so many other IT hot topics right now, ‘hybrid’ is the word of the moment. A blend of home and office working, enabled by a range of technology solutions, provides the most efficient way for employers, employees and customers to interact.

Session 2 - The 'next normal' – Managed Services and Cloud Services supporting your digital transformation journey

Once you have created a digital transformation strategy, you need to decide who can help you implement it, and how. In-house, outsource or, likely, a mixture of the two – a hybrid approach?

Keynote 1 - Going it alone or time to ask for some help?

Before the pandemic, many companies were already beginning to consider their options when it came to sourcing the right IT tools to move their businesses forward. There was a growing recognition that some degree of partnership & collaboration outside of their internal team was the right option. But just how do you decide which aspects of your IT infrastructure remain in-house and which components can be entrusted to digital services and solutions providers?

Presented by Sam Woodcock
Senior Director, Cloud Strategy iland

With vast experience in virtualisation technology and customer implementations, Sam understands the needs of IT Professionals and their businesses and how to create solutions that meet their requirements.

During his career at iland, Sam has worked across many teams including support, product development, engineering and deployment to ensure that the input of customers is reflected in the products and services of the company – and that customers have the best possible cloud experience.

Keynote 2 - Who is best placed to help in the hybrid world?

Managed service providers, cloud and the Channel have some compelling propositions when it comes to digital transformation. Armed with a clear digitalisation strategy, end users need to start building a hybrid infrastructure which best meets their specific business requirements. This is likely to involve a range of service providers, multi-cloud solutions and one or more trusted Channel partner.

Keynote 3 - People, processes and products – putting it all together

Identifying the right technology partner(s) is an important starting point to address the challenges and opportunities of the new normal. However, to enable a fully optimised response to today’s business environment, organisations must ensure that both their employees and customers are fully engaged; that they have the right framework in place to provide the best possible outcomes; as well as the right technology solutions to make it all happen.

Session 3 - The 'next normal' - Managed Services and Cloud Services as digital service + solution providers

Your digital transformation strategy is in place. You have selected your trusted partners. Now you need to identify the digital technology services and solutions that will be crucial in the execution of your plans.

Keynote 1 - The technologies that are already making a difference

Your digitalisation roadmap has identified the key building blocks you require. Managed service providers, cloud providers and the Channel are ideally placed to provide them. Storage, networking, servers, security and applications, alongside the growing focus on analytics and artificial intelligence – all these can be accessed as flexible, scalable and agile services, and quickly.

Keynote 2 - The end users who have already seen a difference

As people have embraced the internet to stay at home and avoid public spaces, businesses that previously would rely on their physical stores to engage with customers are also learning they need to invest in their online presence to keep up with this new demand. In this session, we’ll look at how Soccer Mindset Academy learned to pivot in 2020 and how to turn challenges into opportunities.

Presented by Fabio Torlini

Keynote 3 - Working differently is the ‘now’ normal

The pandemic has revealed gaps in digital capability, especially when it comes to remote working and dynamic collaboration. Alan will present an 8-step action plan for consolidating content and information management to support more flexible working models as part of a broader digital transformation strategy.

Presented by Alan McMillen
